First, ensure that your device is updated to the latest firmware version. Always switch it off completely after use, rather than leaving it in standby mode. Will aiming the thermal imaging device at the sun result in damage to the unit?

Due to the extremely high temperature of the sun, direct exposure may cause severe damage to the sensor. Please note that such damage is excluded from the warranty coverage.
